Please Be Seated Event Rental FAQ's
What is your Delivery/Pick Up Fee? The majority of Clovis and Fresno delivery and pick-up fees start at $60 and increase based on mileage.
We have the right to increase this fee, if necessary, due to rising fuel prices and labor.
Can I Pick Up? Our larger items (i.e. furniture, carts, tables, chairs, etc) are only to be delivered and picked up by Please Be Seated Event Rental crew.
Tabletop décor and smaller items are still available for will call upon request.
Any pick-ups of smaller items incur a non-refundable 10% loading fee based on items total.
What if my items need to be delivered or picked up at a specific time or same night as the event? We can arrange for time specific deliveries and pick-ups. We charge extra for this, as this is considered a special delivery.
We can also pick up after hours, weekends, or holidays at additional charges.
How do deliveries work? We require a person to be present, for any rental items to be delivered. If no one is available for delivery, we will attempt to contact you. After 15 minutes, If no one has arrived, a WAIT TIME FEE will begin to accrue. This WAIT TIME FEE is $35 per employee, per every 15 minutes. If other pickups or deliveries are necessary, our delivery team has the discretion to leave. Having to wait, ties up our delivery team and delays our next deliveries and pickups. A return delivery fee will be charged in addition to any wait time accrued.
Our basic delivery fee covers rental items delivered to one central (level) area within 50 feet of the company’s delivery vehicle. Any rental items requiring a further distance, disassembly or difficulty to fit through gates, doorways, elevators or any other obstructions or multiple levels of stairs by our crew are subject to a surcharge of thirty percent (30%) of total rental fee. Any of the above conditions must be stated prior to delivery to prepare for the extra time required for delivery. Thirty percent (30%) Surcharge will be charged to Renter’s credit card required on file with Please Be Seated Event Rental within 24 hours of delivery date.
Under no circumstances should any of Please Be Seated Event Rental items be transported, by renter or anyone, to another location than the agreed delivery location/address.
Set up is included with certain rental items: tents, farmhouse tables, furniture items, bars and other rental items disclosed. Once the delivery crew arrives, you must have locations of where these items will be placed. Our crews are not able to move around items to figure out a layout. A layout plan must be in order by the time our crew arrives so that they can set up immediately. If our crew has to wait for a layout plan to be made, they have the right to leave, to stay on schedule. An extra delivery charge will be added along with any ‘Waiting fees’.

Once rental items are set up, please do not move them to any other location.
Deliveries are typically on Thursdays or Fridays for a weekend event. Pick-ups are typically on Mondays. You are not charged extra for having the rentals at an earlier date.
Deliveries and pick-ups that must be made on a weekend, late night pickups after 6 p.m, or a public holiday will incur additional fees.
We will reach out 1 week before your event to confirm your delivery details and make any adjustments as necessary. We have a 4 hour delivery and pick up window, though we attempt to arrive within an hour of the scheduled time. We will text or call you (whatever your preference) to let you know when we are heading your way.
How do Pick-Ups Work?. All equipment must be stacked and ready prior to pick up time at the designated location. Any items that are set up and broken down by our delivery team must be accessible upon pickup.

Is a Deposit Required? Yes, a non-refundable 40% of the total is required for reserving any rentals.
When is the Balance Due? Four weeks prior to delivery.
Types of payments and other information about fees? Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal and several other approved forms of payments.
How do I know that your payment system is secure? Our system is integrated with Stripe and PayPal. Both are secure platforms offering data encryption, fraud detection along with a number of other security features.
We do NOT accept checks less than 14 days prior to event delivery.
What if I need to make changes? You can always increase or move around items within the same amount of original rental amount, if these items are available.
A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your rental. Any decrease in rentals automatically loses initial deposit. Additional losses are based upon the amount of days until your event. These charges are outlined in our Rental Payment Policy. (See Below)
Cancellation / Refund Policy The 40% deposit required, on the total value of the contract, for holding your rental items is non-refundable.
Cancellations that are 30+ days to the event delivery date, 60% is refundable.
Cancellations that are 7-30 days to the event delivery date, 25% is refundable.
Refunds and cancellations will not be provided in the case of rain. Customers need to have a back-up plan in place for rental items in the case of inclement weather.
Less than 7 days to the event delivery date, no refund will be given.
All custom or specialty items are non-refundable.
Credit will not be given for items ordered and not used.
Rush orders - Rental orders placed 7 days or less prior to the event date are subject to a 20% rush order fee.
Orders less than 30 days from the event date, full payment is required.
